iPhone costs $2,900?

Jun 26

AT&T has reveiled the price plans, for iPhone. From $59.95 a month, with 24 months contract. I was led to believe, that the price tag is from $499. That means if you choose the more expensive price plan, for $99.95 a month. That totals $2,897.80. Whoa!

Running out

Jun 20

Today was a remarkable day in my life. For the first time in maybe 10 years, I ran just to get in shape (not that one time will do any magic, I’m afraid), and it a few things was revealed to me. First and foremost; my fitness is even worse than I thought! I was thinking about running for 12 minutes, just to get an idea of what I am capable of.

The 12 minutes lapse is just this once, next time, its the distance that matters. But I think I ran about 1 km (0.625 miles). To pass a Cooper-test, you have to run 2400 meters (1.5 miles), so I know what to aim for, over the next months. My goal is to run the 2400 meters below 12 minutes, and pass.

Also I need a few things, before my next run (Which will be tomorrow, I hope). What’s needed is a bottle with water - it’s 21C degrees (70F) outside, which is near my melting point (living in the northern hemisphere and all that). I really got thirsty.Another thing is music. I have a built in mp3 player in my phone, which is great, if I want to play a song for a friend or similar, but not for running. A few cons:

It puts a 5-10 second gap between each song.
It’s likely to fall out of my pocket, while running.
The ear plugs keeps falling out my ears.

And last but not least; I need some better music to run to. Any suggestions for uptempo music worth running to, is highly appreciated. Now, I am going to lay down for a while, and eh.. .die.

iPhone with 8 hours talk time

Jun 18

News from Apple, Inc. regarding iPhone:

“With 8 hours of talk time, and 24 hours of audio playback, iPhone’s battery life is longer than any other ‘Smartphone’ and even longer than most MP3 players,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’ve also upgraded iPhone’s entire top surface from plastic to optical-quality glass for superior scratch resistance and clarity.

Pretty impressive. Read the entire press release. On a side note; I’d really hate to see Orange (and with them Telia) as the only iPhone provider in Europe. Why do I say that? Well, EU operators bemoan Apple’s iPhone arrogance, according to VNUnet.
